Artificial intelligence has taken over the world, and it’s not just about text. Generated images are all around us, and often, people can’t even tell the difference between an AI image, a real photo, and a painted picture. Yes, this may hurt the market for artists, but AI will definitely not replace humans. If you want to have fun generating images using AI, we have created a selection of the 12 best ones for you, which we have carefully checked.
Our 4 testing prompts
To effectively compare all these image generators, we devised four prompts to highlight their respective strengths and weaknesses. So then we fed all these prompts into each generator, looked at the resulting images, and then scored each generator based on how well it did. The prompts are as follows:
Prompt 1: Testing timeframe, text inclusion, and adherence to the prompt
A realistic digital illustration of an Asian female chef holding a Napoleon cake in her hands, standing inside a cozy bakery café with several customers sitting at tables in the background. Include a small chalkboard on the wall with the handwritten text ‘Fresh Napoleon Cake Today’. Ensure the scene looks modern, set in 2025, with warm ambient lighting.
Prompt 2: Testing art style adherence
An Asian woman chef holding a Napoleon cake inside a bakery, with customers at tables in the background. Render the entire scene in the style of a detailed oil painting with visible brushstrokes, rich colors, and a classical art composition.
Prompt 3: Testing skin tone and lighting
A hyper-realistic portrait of an Asian female baker with natural warm skin tone, smiling and holding a Napoleon cake. She is standing in front of a bakery interior with people at tables. Soft morning light shines through the bakery windows, highlighting her face and the cake.
Prompt 4: Testing fantasy imagery and art style adherence
A fantasy-style illustration of an Asian woman chef in a magical bakery, holding a glowing Napoleon cake that sparkles with golden light. Behind her, enchanted customers sit at whimsical tables shaped like pastries. Render in a high-detail fantasy art style, similar to Studio Ghibli mixed with epic fantasy illustrations.
