Will Mayers, a Brownwood attorney, purchased the Bulletin and in the 1890s purchased the Banner. On October 15, 1900, the Brownwood Bulletin became the community's first daily newspaper. Today, the Brownwood Bulletin publishes 3 days per week. The Bulletin also publishes the weekly Heartland Trading Post shopper publication every Tuesday to more than 8,000 homes in the Brown County region.
