PR and Communications are essential drivers of every marketing strategy for product or service launches. While many overlook the impact of PR, those who understand it, like me, relish creating magic through it. My approach centers on the magic of human connections. While I don\u2019t mean to diminish the contributions of men, I think women possess the ideal skill set for navigating the world of PR. We are patient, great listeners, adept multi-taskers, and deeply empathetic. These qualities, along with many others, give women a distinct advantage in this field. As a female owner of an agency, I\u2019ve encountered numerous challenges and obstacles. However, I am fortunate to live and work in the UAE, a country that prioritizes female empowerment through its policies and initiatives. This support enables me to overcome any challenges and continue moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PRNEWS.IO:&nbsp; How has the role of women in the PR industry evolved since you began your career?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>N.S:<\/strong> The role of women in the PR industry has surely evolved, but is it enough?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rise of social media has paralleled the rise of female voices. Today, brands and companies increasingly collaborate with social media celebrities, known as influencers, based on compelling statistics. On Instagram, 78% of influencers monetizing their accounts are female, compared to 22% male. On TikTok, 76% of influencers identify as female, while 24% are male; on YouTube, the numbers are 69% female and 31% male. These statistics highlight the significant impact of female voices in our communities. Despite the prevalence of women in executive and decision-making roles in PR, whether in companies or agencies, the majority of CEOs and regional directors are still men. Despite these changes, the importance of media and the value of journalism remain undeniable. We continue to work with media titles that have been around for over 50 years, largely due to the credibility they provide.
